Prof.Dr.Sc. Sasa Jankovic, orthopedic surgeon in Lifeplus, was born in Zagreb on April 27, 1964. He attended primary school, high school, and the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb (1984-1989). He completed his internship at the Mercury Clinical Hospital (1989-1990) and worked as a research assistant in sports medicine at the Department of Kinesiological Anthropology at the Faculty of Physical Education in Zagreb from 1990 to 1995.
Dr. Jankovic has been an orthopedic specialist in the Department of Orthopedics at Sveti Duh Clinical Hospital since May 1998. In October 2009, he was appointed Head of the Orthopedics Department. Dr. Jankovic received the title “Assistant Professor” in the Department of Sports Medicine at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb in 2004. He completed postgraduate studies in Sports Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb in 1991-1992 and 2002. He continued his development and specializations in Basel (Switzerland, May 2002), Rosemont (USA, 2007), Faculty of Medicine in Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Paris.
He served as President of the National Orthopedic Congress in Varna, Bulgaria, and as an arthroscopy instructor in Rotterdam, Ljubljana, and Naples. Dr. Jankovic is an active member of the Croatian Chamber’s, the Croatian Association of Orthopedics, the Croatian Traumatology Association, the European Association of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy. Dr. Jankovic is also a member of the Health Committee of the Croatian Olympic Committee as well as the Head of the Department of Primary Service at the GNK Dinamo Zagreb football club.
