Orthopedics and traumatology are his areas of expertise. Over the past 20 years, he has successfully operated on over 5,000 patients. Mladen Mikulin, MD, Ph.D. earned his medical degree from the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Medicine.

Over the past 20 years, he has successfully operated on over 5,000 patients. Mladen Mikulin, MD, PhD earned his medical degree from the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Medicine. He completed his medical trainings and practice at famous institutes such as the Rizzoli Institute of Orthopedics in Bologna and the Orthopedic Clinic in Genoa. He specialized in arthroscopic surgery and placement of orthopedic prostheses, pediatric orthopedics, orthopedic oncology and vertebral surgery. On October 16, 2014, he was appointed assistant professor at the Medical University of Split. He has attended several national and international conferences and is the author of various scientific articles.

Since 1998, he has served as a certified legal expert in medicine, orthopedics, and traumatology at the County Court in Zagreb. He was a doctor for the Croatian Ski Federation (2002-2003) and the Croatian Water Polo Federation for a while (2004-2005).

The longest-term collaboration has been with the Croatian National Handball Team, where he served as President of the Croatian Handball Federation’s Medical Committee from 2005 to 2011.

Prim. Mladen Miškulin, MD, PhD was also a water polo player, where he won where he has won several trophies (several times champion of the European Club and champion of the European Clubs Super Cup).  He received the Croatian Golden Braid Medal for his remarkable contribution to sports as Chief Medical Officer of the Croatian Handball Federation and Chairman of the Medical Committee of the Organizing Board of the World Handball Championship, which was held in Zagreb in January 2009.

Prim. Mladen Miškulin, MD, PhD is an instructor for arthroscopic operating techniques not only in Croatia but also abroad. It facilitates training courses in Slovenia, Germany, Poland, Russia, and the USA.
